Inspired by the phrase in the Texas driver’s manual: “drop lane”, a legal way to merge into ongoing traffic, also referred to as “zipper merge”, which claims to reduce traffic and create vehicular fairness & equality. This driving technique is used with the sculpture as a metaphor for the emotional conflict that arises in personal relationships. .

This work has been funded in part by the City of Houston through Houston Arts Alliance.
